Movie 35: The Green Lantern

This is where I start talking about how this movie strayed so far from the comic and had a shallow story and was horrible. Honestly, I thought this movie was cool. It was visually appealing, the costume and ring power effects were nice, they were also clean and didn't detract from the action, in other words they didn't seem forced to make them cooler, like Captain America jumping in front of an excessive amount of explosions because that's really all he's good for. The core concept of the movie, while straying from the comic in its execution (for example the speed at which he learns his powers is remarkable, holy shit), was interesting, and easy to understand for those who haven't read all the comics. It is packed to the brim with action without all that pesky dialogue. All in all I liked it, though it wasn't the best super hero movie I've seen, it far exceeded Captain America and certain Hornet of the same color. I just can't wait till Deadpool comes out :)
