Movie 23: Vampyr

Spelled with a "Y", this movie is noted by critics world wide as the best Horror Movie ever made. While the dialogue is scarce and pretty much meaningless, the seamless connection between the scenes and the book that Mr. Grey reads makes up for it. This was after all only a few years after sound was added to the moving picture screen. While it is old and dusty, this movie is worth a watch for any film buff or true vampire fan because who would want to miss out on the original vamp tale?

I'm tired of hearing you talk about how this is the first Vampire move to ever be filmed. As anyone with ANY historical movie knowledge, how can you make this claim? If you are going to start acting so elitist, you should make sure your facts are correct. Nosferatu is quite possibly the most famous vampire film ever made, and came out 10 years before Vampyr.

So your claim is that Vampyr's worth comes from being the first movie about vampires. However, this isn't true. So with your review, the appeal of Vampyr is... nothing? Well done, good sir. Well done.

  2. The appeal of Vampyr is that it is lauded as one of the greatest horror films of all time, and I apologize for acting "elitist", I honestly am sorry if you feel I am superior to you. I clearly am not, you are magnificent and brilliant. Oh and as for popular you clearly need to look at the undeserved popularity of the Twilight Series.
