This movie is the modern day version of the original, only the acting is not as good, the music is not as good, and it sucks. This movie is a classic and did not need to be remade. One point that struck me as particularly stupid was the fact that the song "Footloose" is only heard like one time during the movie... AND IT'S A CRAPPY COUNTRY STYLE COVER OF IT!!! First of all, this is sacrilegious to Kenny Loggins and that awesome song (believe me I know sacrilege), and second of all it's the goddamn name of the movie, a crappy cover of "Hero" should not be the overlying theme of the movie. All in all I think this movie should be burned and I wish I had a copy of the original 1984 version because I want to watch the good one again like now.
