If you like Zorro, Shrek, or little kitties, Puss in Boots is the movie for you. There isn't much to be said about the standard DreamWorks film. It's packed full of classic machismo Puss in Boots quotes in Antonio Banderas' sexy Spanish accent. Salma Hayek plays Puss' female cohort, who of course has a secret which happens to be that she is actually working against him (big surprise). I wasn't expecting gripping story and dialogue and I didn't get it. I expected a cutsie DreamWorks film with lots of gimmicks and that's precisely what I got. I don't see it as wasted time for watching it either, I quite enjoy a movie that takes my mind off things for a while.
